The Design Process of By Design Interiors

1

Initial Interview:

Information gathered during the initial interview defines the size, complexity, and scope of the project. At this meeting, special needs and concerns may be addressed by either party in a relaxed atmosphere.

2

Services:

Based on input from the initial visit, the designer will present the client with a Letter of Agreement that outlines the services to be provided as well as a clear understanding of the method of compensation. The signed agreement authorizes the interior designer to begin the design process.

3

Planning Phase:

The interior designer executes architectural scaled drawings and sketches to communicate to the client the basic design concept based on client input. After approval of the designer's ideas, research begins for locating the many finishes, materials, furnishings and furniture that support the individual needs and personal style of the client. The creative approach also considers safety, efficiency as well as desired ambiance and livability.

4

Purchasing Phase:

Once finalization of the items to be specified or purchased is clear, cost proposals and deposit requirements are figured and presented to the client. The signed proposals and deposits authorize the business manager of By Design Interiors to place purchase orders on behalf of the client.

5

Implementation/Final Phase:

The business manager follows the progress of all orders placed and co-ordinates the receiving, delivery and installation of furnishings ordered. Once items are in place to the satisfaction of the client, the client is invoiced for balances due.
